The launch of NASA's James Webb Space Telescope has been delayed yet again.
NASA's long-awaited space observatory is now scheduled to lift off from French Guiana no earlier than Dec. 24, two days later than previously planned.
"The James Webb Space Telescope team is working a communication issue between the observatory and the launch vehicle system," NASA officials said in a statement on Tuesday (Dec. 14). "This will delay the launch date to no earlier than Friday, Dec. 24. We will provide more information about the new launch date no later than Friday, Dec. 17."
The James Webb Space Telescope will ride to space on an Ariane 5 rocket provided by the European launch company Arianespace.

In today’s market, inventory is still low while demand remains high. This leads to fierce competition among buyers, who should not expect to negotiate a lower sale price like they could in a normal housing market. Currently, sellers receive an average of 3.8 offers and their homes sell in about 17 days.
The deputy chief economist at CoreLogic, Selma Hepp, says, “The imbalance between robust demand and dismal availability of for-sale homes has led to a continual bidding over asking prices, which reached record levels in recent months. Now, almost six in ten homes listed are selling over the asking price.”
For buyers, this means that offering below or even at a home’s list price may not be enough to obtain your dream house.…

In today’s housing market, we are seeing high demand and low inventory — and when this happens, prices naturally rise. Thanks to these home sale prices appreciating at near-historic rates, certain challenges have arisen with regards to appraisals. For the last few months, it has become more and more common for an appraisal to come in below the contract price on a home. Chief appraiser for CoreLogic Shawn Telford explains, “Recently, we observed buyers paying prices above listing price and higher than the market data available to appraisers…this difference is known as the appraisal gap.” Put simply, because of skyrocketing buyer demand, prospective homeowners are often willing to pay over asking to secure their dream homes. However,…

The New Year is upon us, presenting itself as a fresh chapter in the book called "Our Life." Every year many of us try to figure out how to make the coming year the best one yet while reflecting on all of the things we didn't accomplish in the last year. Although we shouldn't define our lives by each year that passes, we can create a plan to have a killer year to come. But, instead of adding the pressure by making New Year's Resolutions, make this coming year about evolutions. Resolutions are often broken because they are intangible to sustain for an entire year (i.e., I will never eat sugar again). A list of evolutions is a positive reminder, meant to keep you on track rather than punish you for any decisions you have made in the past. To help you…

To be quite honest, in my close to 30 years in property management, I've never had a problem with pets. My problems have always been with the pet's owners.
For example, it is usually not the pet who fails to change the litter box and it isn't the pet's idea to have 8 dogs in one apartment. Yes, that has actually happened to me. I had bought a duplex once, with two one-bedroom units, where I inherited a tenant with one dog who suddenly had a record-setting eight pups. The funny thing was that my tenant decided she wanted to try and keep them all. People are crazy. Obviously, the idea of turning a one-bedroom apartment into a kennel didn't work out very well.
I've heard many of…
